Matrix-assisted laser desorption/ionization (MALDI) time-of-flight (TOF) mass spectrometry is used for analysis of large biomolecules (such as proteins, polymers, sugar, etc.) to identify and characterize the structures. The instrument has a capability of TOF/TOF technology (LIFT) for tandem MS (MS/MS). It is worked either linear or reflectron configuration with both positive and negative modes.
